Linseed is a whole-seed, straight supplement naturally rich in omega-3 fatty acids, fed to support strong bones and ligaments, healthy joints and a glossy coat. Its demulcent, mild laxative properties are also valued for helping keep the gut moving and reducing the risk of impaction, while its soothing effect can help calm irritated, itchy skin. It needs to be properly prepared, either ground or boiled for a good length of time, before it's safe to feed. A well-rounded supplement suited to horses, ponies, dogs, cats, pigeons and poultry.
